From 26.2.2024 to 28.2.2024, our students participated in six excursions in Slovakia. Students had the opportunity to see several production and development operations, e.g. Marelli, Magna, Jaguar Land Rover, or companies such as Essity, Schiller and Adient. The excursions were mainly focused on the use of industrial robots in the automotive industry. Students also had the opportunity to see automation in the field of production technology and fully automatic lines for the production of hygiene products. The students really liked the excursion and fulfilled its purpose, and we thank SjF TUKE for the financial assistance provided for the implementation of the excursion.

Students of the department participated in the Technical Conference, which is designed specifically for the Next Generation - students of universities and high schools.

The conference took place on November 28 and 29, 2023 in the congress hall of the Slovak National University of Mechanical Engineering and Technology at Karloveská Street 63, Bratislava. The topic of the 1st day was "STN in the service of cybernetics and robotics" and the topic of the 2nd day was "Use of technical standards in assessing the conformity of machines and robotic systems". The aim of this exceptional event is to familiarize the Next Generation with safe innovations, rules and trends that help ensure the competitiveness of technical equipment in the European and international field. The speakers are aces in world standardization, the president of the international electrotechnical commission IEC and the director of the Brazilian national standardization ABNT, as well as representatives of well-known Slovak and Czech companies working in the field of machine safety, robotic systems, cybersecurity and bicycles. The conference will also include demonstrations of robotic systems.

Study Robotics

 Havicka WEB EN Rudo

The teaching in the program is devoted to the design, construction and planning of robots, including mobile and service equipment and systems used in practice as the so-called peripheral devices of robotic technology, which are characterized by high functional, movement and handling capabilities, mechanical accuracy and high reliability.

WHY STUDY ROBOTICS?

  • Robotics is the field of the future.
  • Lots of job opportunities and good financial evaluation of the industry.
  • The new field is therefore of great interest, especially in graduates who "understand" with robots.
  • We focus mainly on practical skills.
  • Teaching on real industrial robots of all basic kinematics.

WE OFFER YOU:

  • excursions, workshops and seminars organized in cooperation with companies,
  • job prospects in the field,
  • participation in projects solved at the department,
  • internships.
