The object of the project is the Development and research of methods for optimizing of acoustic characteristics and acoustic quality of emitting noise devices. The emphasis is given to comparison of devices suitable for the needs of noise visualization and the determination of their application possibilities for the identification of noise sources of selected groups of household appliances. There shall be performed a comparison of selected visualization methods and the appropriateness of their application for localization and identification of noise sources. The focus will be on design and development of a methodology for the identification of noise sources, research and development of methodology for determining the of acoustic material properties applicable for the purposes of reducing noise, creating a database of materials and their acoustic properties, design and development methodology for establishing of psychoacoustic parameters (roughness, sharpness, volume, colour audio/ sound, ...). The benefit will be the development and verification of optimization methodology of acoustic properties of household appliances. The content of the project is based on needs of the Directives no. 86/594 / EEC on airborne noise emitted by household appliances.
