The laboratory is focused on modelling simulation of physical and environmental factors and the creation of mathematical models and predictions of individual physical factors through the use of cutting-edge software means. With its software and hardware equipment, the laboratory enables drawing documentation and modelling of engineering components. The laboratory allows the use of modern software means in scientific and research activities as well as in the educational process in the teaching of individual professional subjects such as research. Computer design, Simulation of the propagation of physical fields, Major industrial accidents, Semester project and other projections with similar focus.
Laboratory measurement
The primary focus of this laboratory is in support of applied and basic research involving numerically intensive calculations and visualizations of extremely large data sets from simulations, modelling and evaluation of measured data. Depending on the subject being taught, the laboratory is used to solve the following research problems:
• creation of noise maps outdoors and indoors,
• creation of emission maps of the spread of pollutants in the environment,
• mathematical modelling and design of measures to reduce noise from industrial plants and transport,
• creation of 3D models of industrial plants and objects.
Objectives of the laboratory
• Research on modelling and simulations of noise propagation to the environment.
• Modelling and simulation of physical factors in the working environment.
• Provide students with working conditions that allow them to handle working with simulation and prediction software.
• Develop computer skills and abilities of students with engineering software for drawing documentation.
• Deepen students' practical skills in the process of modelling engineering components and practice basic activities related to rapid prototyping – 3D printing activities.
