LABORATORY OF STATISTICAL METHODS (A231)

Laboratory Orientation
The laborathory is mainly used for educational process of students from several study fields of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Through teaching process, students use computers in subjects focused on data mining and usage of statistical methods in practice. Students improve their skills in Excel, Matlab and X(PLORE). The laborathory includes 10 PCs and whiteboard with a projector.
Depanding on subject, students learn:
- to solve problems from descriptive and inductive statistics,
- to solve problems concerning regression and correlation analysis,
- to analyze time series,
- to solve tasks in the field of statistical quality management,
- to use the knowledge of probability theory and statistical methods in practice.
