VM1 Computer classroom CAD/CAM/CAE (M74-159-VM1)
Responsible person: doc. Ing. Ľuboš Kaščák, PhD.
Location: Mäsiarska 74, 1 floor
Focus of the classroom
The classroom of computer technology VM1 is focused on CAD designs of parts and complex assemblies, on the use of mathematical modelling of technological processes and numerical simulations of technological processes, especially forming, machining, injection moulding, welding and joining. The classroom is used for educational purposes as well as professional training of students in the study programmes of bachelor studies (PPSV, TMaISV), engineering studies (PPSV, ST) and doctoral studies (STaM). Within these disciplines, students acquire skills in working with software tools in the areas of CAx technologies that are used in engineering practice.
Classroom software
- Solidworks 2021
- NX
- Catia
- Moldex 3D
- PAM-Stamp 2G
- Simufact Manufacturing
In PC classroom VM1, in addition to powerful computer technology, there is a 3D printer type MakerBot Replicator Z18, whose printing area is 305x305x457mm with FDM printing technology. The 3D printer is used to gain experience in rapid prototyping, which can be used by students in their term papers, final theses, or in the implementation of their own designs.
