Why to study Automation?
Study program Automation combines an interesting courses in laboratories, international research and comprehensive support of students aiming to get the best knowledge.
Automation is a global phenomenon in current digitalisation era. Automation is widespread almost everywhere, so control and information systems are a part of our life.
It relates first of all to:
- industry (automotive production, distribution systems of gas and electrical energy, remote monitoring and control systems,...),
- but also public services (smart mobile phones with embeded sensors like GPS, heart beat, number of steps, etc., internet social networks, remote monitoring and control of automated households),
- and in generally to all advanced electronic products (smart refrigerators, smart pace-makers with remote monitoring, self-driving cars,...).
You will learn:
Automation means an education for praxis. Profesional, social and personal competencies obtained duing study are valuable and widely usable in praxis.
You will get classic knowledge in automation control theory, automation technology, industrial equipment, and also knowledge in interrelated technical fields like information-communication technology, artificiall intelligence, sensorics, wireless communication, etc.
We will teach you how to control by computers a real world around us. Our study program is continously actualised, reacts on industry needs reflecting the newest methods and technology for the Industry 4.0 platform, and installing them in our laboratories. This is what it gives you an extra value for your future realisation in your professional life.
Automation courses run in a modern academic environment for teaching and research, in an open, friendly and motivated atmosphere.
We offer you:
Our long lasting good contacts with praxis guarantee a relevant knowledge and skills required by the current modern working places in praxis.
You will join our research teams and solving partial tasks while working on domestic and international projects.
Our students regularly attend Erasmus+ mobility study programs based on our bilateral long-standing agreements with several universities in Europe:
- Politecnic Milan
- University Parma
- University of Ghent
- Czech Technical University in Prague
- University of T. Bata in Zlin
Practise of our graduates is widely accepted starting by programmers of control systems, robots and other automated devices, going through designers of automated systems or advanced smart products designers including development and testing of prototypes untill designers of complete automatic lines, and even in the research institutions.
Engineers educated in Automation are very often on recruiting lists of automotive factories, industrial control companies, and generally all automated industrial companies in Slovakia and Europe. Our graduates can select in a wide offers of jobs in automation and related fields.
