The Department of Industrial and Digital Engineering received the EUR-ACE mark in I. and II. degree, which included it among the leading workplaces of European universities and colleges that have already received this label. It provides students with the assurance that by completing a EUR-ACE accredited study, they will meet the strictest criteria set for graduates in European business practice. The EUR-ACE mark guarantees that its holder meets demanding criteria that relate not only to the organization but also to the content and outputs of the study program.

On 14.12.2022 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in room PK-207 there will be a lecture by an expert from practice Ing. Matúša Fedorka from EPLAN ENGINEERING CZ, p. r. about. on the topic: Digitization and automation of processes along the entire value chain, the content of the lecture will be topics such as:

- Automation of engineering processes and design 4.0

- Digital twin

- EPLAN Education

The lecture is intended for students of the 3rd Bc. year and 1st year Ing in the study programs Industrial Engineering and Management and Business Economics.

Today, in its publication: https://www.apvv.sk/buxus/docs/agentura/publikacie/publikacia-2023-sk-A4.pdf, the Research and Development Support Agency (APVV) informed the wider public about the results of excellent projects, which were achieved with the financial support of the agency.

In this context, a publication was prepared in 2023, which presents a selection of the most successful completed projects from the general call for VV 2017 in all branches of Slovak science and technology.

Project APVV-17-0258 Application of elements of digital engineering in the innovation and optimization of production flows mentioned in the subject publication on page 40, in the Technical Sciences section, whose responsible researcher was prof. Ing. Peter Trebuňa, PhD., was solved at our workplace, Department of Industrial and Digital Engineering SjF TUKE.

On November 16, 2023, students of the Industrial Engineering study program went on an excursion to the production plant of the KIA automobile company at our department. The excursion is a continuation of the series of lectures by experts from practice and excursions for our students, which we regularly organize for them in order to help them establish contact with practice while studying at our workplace.

Also during this semester, the students of our department actively participate in the excursion prepared for them by the staff of our workplace. On 30.10.2024 students II. Ing. they graduated accompanied by Ing. Petr Malega, PhD. extrusion in the company U. S. Steel Košice. Another excursion for students III. Bc., I. Ing. and II. Ing. years were organized by doc. Ing. Miriam Pekarčíkova, PhD., doc. Ing. Juraj Kováč, PhD. and Ing. Peter Malega, PhD. to Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia. We also prepare other interesting excursions for student.
