Student Ethical Codex FME, TUKE 

An code of Ethics for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice is a generalization of the basic ethical and moral human values and rules of the behaviour, which the student follows during the study. It is part of the faculty culture, which is governed values of humanism and ethical principles valid for universities under the Act č.131/2002 Z.z. about universities and follows up on the Study Regulations of the Technical University of Košice.

Basic principles of the Code of Ethics for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice:

  1. Relationships of the faculty are based on the open communication, mutual trust and full respect for the principles of humanism, freedom and democracy.
  1. Students do not violate any regulations, rules and orders defined by the faculty and other regulations.
  1. In relation to staff and students and other stakeholders, they shall behave and respect and observe the rules of good conduct and social ethics.
  1. They protect the intellectual and material property of the faculty; they do not allow theft of the property of the faculty, the property of its employees and students.
  1. They do not consume alcohol, drugs or other narcotics on the faculty premises and do not come to the faculty premises under their influence.
  1. During the lessons, they respect teachers and classmates, treat them with consideration, do not sexually harass anyone, do not discriminate, insult their origin, nationality, religion, gender, disability, marital status and age, and do not use violence or the threat of violence.
  1. During the teaching process, they respect the Study Regulations of the Technical University of Košice and do not disrupt the course of teaching with the late arrival, resp. early departure. They are actively involved in teaching and respect the teacher's orders. All personal and faculty mass media (personal computers, telephones, cameras, etc.) are used for teaching exclusively for the purposes of study and with the consent of the teacher.
  1. They follow the principles of personal and general hygiene. They take part in lectures, exercises and seminars as well as exams in clean and appropriate clothing.
  1. When elaborating assigned tasks, projects and final theses, they comply with the regulations and regulations of the faculty, they do not infringe copyright. In examinations and other study obligations, they rely on their own knowledge and do not cheat in any form.

The Code of Ethics is intended for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice who are studying in the first, second or third degree of university study in full-time or part-time form. Violations of the Code of Ethics are dealt with by the Disciplinary Committee of the FME TUKE in accordance with the TUKE Disciplinary Code. The members of the disciplinary commission of the faculty and its chairman are appointed by the dean from among the members of its academic community after approval by the Academic Senate of the faculty. Half of the members of this commission are students. The disciplinary commission of the faculty has 6 members. The activities of the disciplinary commission of the faculty are governed by the rules of procedure of the disciplinary commission of the university.
