Also during this semester, the students of our department actively participate in the excursion prepared for them by the staff of our workplace. On 30.10.2024 students II. Ing. they graduated accompanied by Ing. Petr Malega, PhD. extrusion in the company U. S. Steel Košice. Another excursion for students III. Bc., I. Ing. and II. Ing. years were organized by doc. Ing. Miriam Pekarčíkova, PhD., doc. Ing. Juraj Kováč, PhD. and Ing. Peter Malega, PhD. to Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia. We also prepare other interesting excursions for student.
On October 22, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. will take place for the students of our workplace, the next of the series of lectures by experts in practice, the lecture of Ing. Michal Baluch, director of the Ryba Košice production facility belonging to the Tauris Group consortium on the topic: Ryba Košice production facility.
The lecture will take place in room PK5 S01 as part of the lectures on the subject Modeling and simulation of logistics processes

Opening of a new institute at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

Slovakia has the first testbed focused on Industry 4.0
Košice, 20 February 2020 SOVA Digital, in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice (TU KE), put into operation the first Slovak testbed focused on Industry 4.0 technologies and processes and digital transformation of industrial enterprises. TestBed 4.0 was inaugurated on February 20, 2020 with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Economy, university management, industrial organizations and personalities of Slovak industry. The workplace will be used to test business solutions and to educate students and researchers at the university. It will create a space for networking experts from practice with technology companies and universities, and support research and development of applications for industry.
