Nikoleta Kocichová, who in 2014 received the Prize of the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic for the most interesting business idea. On October 5, 2023, our workplace was visited by colleagues from the Technical University in Rzeszów from the Faculty of Management, Mr. Vice-Dean Dr. Inz. Pawel Dobrzanski and his colleague from the Department of Management Systems and Logistics dr inz. Magdalena Dobrzanska. As part of their visit to our department, they toured the laboratory and its premises.

On September 21, 2023, a scientific council was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Košice connected with the defense of the habilitation thesis of our colleague from the Department of Industrial and Digital Engineering Ing. Juraj Kováč, PhD.. After completing all the necessary requirements, the scientific council unanimously agreed on a positive voting result and recommended Ing. Juraj Kováč, PhD. to obtain the title of docent, which will be awarded to him by the rector of the Technical University in Košice in the near future. Hearty congratulations

Slovakia has the first testbed focused on Industry 4.0
Košice, 20 February 2020 SOVA Digital, in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice (TU KE), put into operation the first Slovak testbed focused on Industry 4.0 technologies and processes and digital transformation of industrial enterprises. TestBed 4.0 was inaugurated on February 20, 2020 with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Economy, university management, industrial organizations and personalities of Slovak industry. The workplace will be used to test business solutions and to educate students and researchers at the university. It will create a space for networking experts from practice with technology companies and universities, and support research and development of applications for industry.
