Hack the IoT Solution at the SICK Solution Hackathon 2024

Dear Mr./Mrs...,

In our connected world, you no longer solve tasks alone, but together as a team, with colleagues, partners and their ideas and technologies.

But when do you ever have time to think outside the box and look at IoT solutions for automation in an unconventional way?

At the international SICK Solution Hackathon from October, 15th - 17th, 2024 in Waldkirch, Germany you will get this chance!

 What is it about?

Hack IoT Solutions within the world of Industrial Automation - that's the theme of the event. Hence, participants will have to develop solutions for the following topics:  Make it move, Make it easy, Make it visible, Make it safe, and Make it green! There are no limits to your imagination.
You can find all the details at https://hackathon.sick.com/.

Your benefits

The SICK Solution Hackathon is an excellent opportunity for networking. You will benefit from the exchange of knowledge with students, other young professionals, and experts from leading industrial companies even after the event has ended. In addition, you will get to know modern, industrial hardware and software at first hand.

On January 25th, 2024, the Doctoral Conference Novus Scientia 2024 was held, which is focused on the presentation of the research results of doctoral students of mechanical engineering faculties and their related faculties of technical universities and colleges. The conference allows doctoral students to present the results of their scientific research, discuss them in a wider context, establish cooperation between workplaces and individuals with a related research focus, and thus improve the quality of scientific research at the doctoral level. The conference is held under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Košice Dr.h.c. mult. prof. Ing. Jozef Živčák, PhD., MPH.

The conference is focused on the following topics:

Automation, mechatronics and robotics
Technological and material engineering
Management, industrial and digital engineering
Structural and process engineering
Special engineering processes

The following papers were presented for the Department of Industrial Automation and Mechatronics:

Ing. Ondrej Marcinčák - Thingspeak platform as a tool for wireless data collection

Ing. Tomáš Merva - USE OF MOTION CAPTURE SYSTEM FOR REACTIVE ROBOTIC MANIPULATIONS

Ing. Peter Ján Sinčák - POSITIONAL DATA COLLECTION FOR CONTINUUM ROBOT DATASET

Ing. Jaroslav Romančík - Non-contact temperature measurement of SMA materials

Ing. Leo Brada - METHODOLOGY FOR MEASURING PRESSURE AND AIR FLOW
