Master study

Why to study mechatronics?

  • According to several predictions, mechatronics is the engineering department of the future, when there will be no exclusively mechanical machines
  • In the industry of the developed countries, the demand for mechatronics engineering is growing
  • Mechatronic engineer is capable to solve the problems of basic mechanical systems, has knowledge of mechanical and electrical components and modules, and uses the theory of control and informatics
  • Many other fields of study examine problems from the bottom-up, meaning that they look at the individual parts of the problem isolated according to the field of the prom that is being solved. However, mechatronics is looking at the problem systematically and focuses on the interdisciplinary and complex solutions

We are offering

  • Quality education, where you can gain a full master degree
  • Job prospect in the field of study
  • Excursions, workshops and seminars organized in cooperation with companies
  • Topics of master thesis, that can be beneficial for industrial practice and topic in collaboration with industrial practice
  • Participation in projects that are ongoing at the department
  • Opportunity to continue in postgraduate study

We will teach you

  • Correctly apply theoretical knowledge
  • Analyse problems of mechatronic system
  • Design and implementation of parts of mechatronic systems so that they fulfil the required properties
  • Design and construct machines and system, which are characterized by high functionality, movement and handling ability and are controlled by modern automation and computer technology
  • Analyse, design, construct and service vast technical solutions including mechatronic systems, carry out research with a high degree of creativity and independence
  • The graduate gains deep knowledge in the field of mechatronics and allowing him to lead teams in this field, individually lead big projects and take over the responsibility for complex solutions
  • The graduate has prerequisites, after gaining practical managing skills, to become a coordinator especially in development teams of the mechatronic system in manufacturing organisations.

Employment of the graduates

Graduates will find employment primarily as creative project managers, R&D developers, coordinators and managers of teams that are designing and developing modern mechatronic systems as well as ensuring the operation of these systems. Further, in companies dealing with the construction of machines, devices and systems in the category of mechatronic systems and manufacturing its components, as well as testing and service these systems.

There is a great interest in graduates of the mechatronics study program, and graduates of the study program have found employment in the following companies:
