Ergonomics focuses on all people who interact with the surrounding systems, and focuses on streamlining and improving their interaction. By combining cognitive, organizational and physical ergonomics, we can increase the end user's comfort with the help of today's innovative digital tools. In the field of teaching ergonomics, it has been found that the new generation of students is less interested in "general concepts", is able to concentrate for a shorter time (maximum 12-15 minutes), enjoys using technology in teaching, is active, practically learning and appreciates diversity "Structures" of teaching, informality and different perspectives. The interest of these students requires working with more illustrative types of presentations and multimedia.
Laboratory focus
In the laboratory of work process innovations and applied ergonomics, several specific devices (eg assembly tables, perimeter, luxmeter) as well as common ICT equipment (eg interactive whiteboard) are currently used in educational activities. As part of its equipment, the laboratory also has other specific devices that can be used in the teaching of ergonomics (eg sound level meter, heart rate monitor, digital thermometer). Students can deepen and verify theoretical knowledge of subjects such as ergonomics, analysis and measurement of work (2nd year of bachelor's studies in the study programs Industrial Engineering and Business Management and Economics), resp. Industrial ergonomics (1st year of engineering study in the study programs Industrial Engineering and Business Management and Economics).
Laboratory goals
Gain knowledge about the possibilities and application of ergonomic principles and principles in industrial practice.
Gain practical experience with measuring the field of view, spatial vision, legibility of announcers, determining the height of the handling plane and other workplace parameters.
To deepen students' theoretical knowledge and technical skills in the implementation of measurement.
