Bachelor study

Mechatronics integrates knowledge especially from areas of mechanics, electronics, computer science, and control. Its main characteristics are artificial intelligence, interactivity, autonomous behaviour, and advanced design. It is being used in many modern fields such as: robotics, intelligent sensors, satellite technology, but also in machine engineering. Mechatronics is more and more popular in the field of natural sciences and new interdisciplinary fields of study are arising like: nanotechnology, biotechnology and remediation technologies.

Why study mechatronics?

  • According to several predictions, mechatronics is the engineering department of the future, when there will be no exclusively mechanical machines
  • In the industry of the developed countries, the demand for mechatronics engineering is growing
  • The field of study is focused on the preparation of experts in the mechanical and electrical field with the basic knowledge of informatics and automation for operation, manufacturing, testing and partially design of mechatronic systems
  • Mechatronic engineer is capable to solve the problems of basic mechanical systems, has knowledge of mechanical and electrical components and modules, and uses the theory of control and informatics
  • Many other fields of study examine problems from the bottom-up, meaning that they look at the individual parts of the problem isolated according to the field of the prom that is being solved. However, mechatronics is looking at the problem systematically and focuses on the interdisciplinary and complex solutions

We are offering

  • Job prospect in the field of study
  • Excursions, workshops and seminars organized in cooperation with companies
  • Participation in projects that are ongoing at the department
  • Opportunity to continue in the second level of university education

We will teach you

  • Apply theoretical knowledge
  • Analyse problems of mechatronic system

Design and implementation of parts of mechatronic systems so that they fulfil the required properties

Employment of the graduates

Graduates will find employment in ensuring the operation of modern electromechanical, hydraulic and other mechatronic systems with computer control. Furthermore, in companies engaged in the construction of machines, devices, equipment belonging to the class of mechatronic systems and the production of their components as well as testing, service and development of these systems.
