On January 25th, 2024, the Doctoral Conference Novus Scientia 2024 was held, which is focused on the presentation of the research results of doctoral students of mechanical engineering faculties and their related faculties of technical universities and colleges. The conference allows doctoral students to present the results of their scientific research, discuss them in a wider context, establish cooperation between workplaces and individuals with a related research focus, and thus improve the quality of scientific research at the doctoral level. The conference is held under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Košice Dr.h.c. mult. prof. Ing. Jozef Živčák, PhD., MPH.
The conference is focused on the following topics:
Automation, mechatronics and robotics
Technological and material engineering
Management, industrial and digital engineering
Structural and process engineering
Special engineering processes

In the period from November 20 to 23, 2023, the second activity took place within the V4 Gen-Mini Grants project supported by the Vyšegrad Fund. The activity was focused on building new relationships between students and universities (TUKE and VŠB), as well as gaining new knowledge in the field of collaborative robotics.
The activity was attended by 5 participants from Ostrava and 5 participants from our department.
