Graduates of doctoral studies from the departments of Biomedical Engineering and Measurement and Automotive Production Ing. Branko Štefanovič, PhD. and Ing. František KUPEC, PhD. became the winners of the TOP Student Thesis competition, which is announced annually by UVP TECHNICOM and DEUTSCHE TELECOM IT Solutions. The works that bring new solutions with the possibility of real application in practice are appreciated. The competition was announced in three categories: Smart City, Health Care and Industry. Our graduates were the winners in the Health Care and Industry categories. The award-winning dissertation of Ing. Branko Štefanovič, PhD. "Innovative Approaches in Orthotics" won the Health Care category and the dissertation of Ing. František Kupec, PhD. titled "Design of an innovative solution of a car body part to optimize aerodynamics" won the Industry category.
We congratulate the winners and their supervisors on their achievements.
A gift from the SJF TUKE

The gift of the Slovak Republic from the hands of the Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic Mr. Peter Dovhun to his working partner in Qatar was produced at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of TUKE and presented the highest quality and precision of engineering in the form of a manufactured exhibit.

Predmetom spoločného stretnutia s vedením univerzity a vedením fakulty bola vízia kooperácie ministerstva školstva, TUKE, SjF a technických stredných škôl za účelom budúcej spolupráce s koncernom Volvo Car Košice (Valaliky Industrial park)
Visit of the Minister of Economy to SJF

On Tuesday, the first of August, we were visited by the Minister of Economy Peter Dovhun together with the State Secretary Peter Švec, who toured selected laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Košice.
In addition to exhibits from the international exhibition Expo Dubai 2020, they visited the Prototype and Innovation Centre and personally tried riding on hydrogen tricycles.

On Monday we were visited by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education Slavomír Partila with the Director of the Secondary Schools Department Karol Jakubíko. Representatives of the Ministry were interested not only in the presentation of the faculty, but also in the exhibits from Expo Dubai 2020 and selected laboratories.
