Friday's Inauguration of the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of TUKE brought some nice moments and we want to share them with all of you.
We have taken the liberty to attach a passage from the Dean's Inauguration Speech, the whole speech is available for download
"Four years have passed since the last similar meeting, which can be divided into several stages and characterise our work from the beginning of the mandate until now.
It was mainly a stage of restarting almost all processes, their analysis and decomposition, which defined the priorities of the faculty in the field of infrastructure, educational process, process of science and research, up to the most sensitive topic, that is the work with the student and cooperation with practice at the interface of domestic action, Europe and in some cases the world.
Despite my relative experience, I come before you with great humility and respect.
I can state with all seriousness that the anticipations in the first phase have been fulfilled with synergy and a bonding structure for the next challenging period in the faculty. The faculty as well as the university has successfully passed into the seventh decade, which could already be sufficiently assessed, for its maturity, results and application in the next period.
Among the milestones worth mentioning, I can include the radical renovation in the field of infrastructure, both exterior and interior for use in the educational, scientific research and relaxation process, which serve not only the students and staff of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, but also to the users of the entire Technical University of Košice, for which I would like to respectfully thank all the staff and students of the Faculty, as well as the management of TUKE and the partner faculties of TUKE - here I would like to borrow a quote with your permission:
"If you want to build a great enterprise, build yourself first."
