The laboratory has installed test equipment for measuring the static and dynamic properties of flexible shaft couplings, namely static and dynamic torsional stiffness and damping coefficient, and for tuning the torsionally oscillating mechanical system with pneumatic couplings during operation in a range of different operating modes. The devices are also used to optimize the torsionally oscillating mechanical system by pneumatic couplings in terms of the magnitude of the dangerous torsional oscillations and to diagnose rotating mechanical systems. The laboratory has its own experimental test system, test stand for determining the properties of flexible couplings, strain gauge measuring device Hottinger MX 840, evaluation software Quantum X, torque sensors, electronic extreme control system ESSLER and other computer equipment.
