Martina Lubyová, PhD. and General Director of the Section of Science and Technology of the MESRaS SR Bc. PhDr. Marek Hajduk, PhD. the Scientific-Technical Team of 2018 Award for the implementation of hydrogen technologies in the field of energy and the automotive industry. The team members are doc. Ing. Tomáš Brestovič, PhD., prof. Ing. Mária Čarnogurská, CSc., doc. Ing. Natalia Jasminska, PhD. and doc. Ing. Marián Lázár, PhD.

PRIZE OF THE INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING FAIR IN NITRA
The Department of Power Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Košice won the FAIR PRIZE at the 25th International Engineering Fair IN NITRA for the "Model of a hydrogen car using a fuel cell and metal hydride materials for propulsion".

TECHFÓRUM 2017
Winner of the Professional Conference Techfórum 2017 at the 24th International Engineering Fair in Nitra with exhibit "Prototype of a device for temperature management of metal hydride tanks based on Peltier cells".
PROFESSOR NEMESSÁNYI PRIZE
The Slovak Gas and Oil Association awarded Ing. Peter KÖRÖSI, a graduate of the Department, the Professor Nemessányi Prize for 2nd place in the competition for the best diploma thesis in the field of "Technology and Technological Development in the Gas Industry". Title of his diploma thesis was "Design of metal hydride tank with heat exchanger".

In 2013, the Rector of the University of Mining - Technical University in Ostrava prof. Ing. Ivo Vondrák, CSc. awarded the Georgia Agricola Medal to prof. Ing. Mária ČARNOGURSKÁCSc. for her lifelong scientific and pedagogical activities and personal contribution to the development of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering VŠB TU Ostrava in the field of energy and fluid mechanics.
