VM2 Computer classroom CAD/CAM/CAE (M74-153-VM2)
Responsible person: Ing. Tomáš Jezný, PhD.
Location: Mäsiarska 74, 1 floor
Focus of the classroom
The classroom of computer technology is focused on the use of computer models and simulations of forming, machining and injection moulding of plastics. Primarily, the classroom is used for educational purposes as well as professional training of students from the fields of Computer Support of Engineering Production and Technology, Management and Innovation of Engineering Production. Within these disciplines, students gain practical experience in working with software tools in the areas of CAx information technology, which are commonly used in engineering practice. Depending on the subject taught, students learn:
- Create area and volume models of components and assemblies,
- tools design for engineering applications,
- design mathematical models and create simulations for the design of injection moulds
- optimise technological processes
Classroom software equipment
- Solidworks 2021
- Moldex 3D
- PAM-Stamp 2G
- Simufact Manufacturing
Subjects teached
- CAx methods in production
- Design of welding, casting and surface treatment processes
- Design of fixtures and tools
- Methods and techniques of computer aided VT
