Partner 2: Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava

Brief description of the project: The project solution represents a completely new innovative way of recycling mechanically non-recyclable mixed polymers into a highly innovative lightweight building material by reusing part of municipal solid waste (MSW) using the innovative reactive mixing technology as a recycling method. The output from WPTECHLINE is a gravel-like building material called CONCRETE FILLER, which is used as a new substance in the production of bricks and concrete blocks.

Implementor: Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for the Recovery Plan and Knowledge Economy
Intermediary: Research Agency, Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic
Recipient: Technical University of Košice

Brief description of the project: The project is focused on the development of a low-cost individual rehabilitation orthosis of the hand and forearm intended for people with reduced or lost grip function, especially after a stroke, spinal cord injury or tetraplegia. The goal is to create an individually adapted orthosis with easy control using modern CAD/CAM technologies, 3D scanning and additive manufacturing. The proposed solution is intended to support intensive rehabilitation of hand motor functions, increase the availability of rehabilitation aids and reduce their production costs while maintaining a high level of individualization.

Brief description of the project: The presented research project on the separation of hydrogen from synthesis gases describes the possibilities of obtaining it from various products of industrial production and non-thermal processes. During the processing of various types of waste and technological procedures, gaseous mixtures with a high proportion of hydrogen are formed. When processing synthesis gases with a hydrogen concentration exceeding 30%, it is possible to speak of a potential source of blue hydrogen, which may represent an alternative to fossil fuels, since its combustion does not contribute to the intensification of the greenhouse effect. The output of the research project on the separation of hydrogen from synthesis gases will be an experimental device for the separation of hydrogen from the remaining components of synthesis gas with fully autonomous operation.

Project outputs:

V1 - Database of publications focused on various methods of hydrogen separation from synthesis gases

V3 - Open-access database of measured data

V4 - Energy-economic analysis of specific separation process types and their combinations

V5 - Boundary conditions for specific separation methods

V7 - Hydrogen separation device prototype

V8 - Control software with source code distribution capability

V9 - Freely available separation device data

V10 – Optimized hydrogen separator for synthesis gas
