As part of the Week of Science and Technology in Slovakia 2022, which began on November 7 and culminated on November 11, with the award ceremony for the Science and Technology Award 2022 at the Aurelium Science Experience Center in Bratislava, we once again made our mark in the great competition of nominees.
The event was held under the auspices of the Minister of Education Mgr. Ján Horecký, in the presence of the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Slovak Republic Mgr. Michal Fedák.
The first award was given to the dean of SjF prof. Jozef Živčák in the Popularizer of Science category and the second vice-dean, prof. Tomáš Brestovič in the category Personality of science and technology. We heartily congratulate them!
Diploma thesis - Model of odorant propagation in high-pressure gas pipelines in the conditions of SPP - D, which was sent to the competition "Prof. Nemessányiho 2021 ", organized by the Slovak Gas and Oil Association, was unanimously selected by an independent commission as the best in the category" Technology and technological development in the gas industry ".

On November 4, 2021, our doctoral student Ing. Lukáš Tóth participated in the annual JCI-Slovakia conference, where he also won the "THE BEST TOP 10 in the history of the SLOVAK UNIVERSITY STARTUP CUP" competition. We cordially congratulate him on this success
The Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic awarded the Technical University in Košice the Ján Bahýľ Prize for patent no. 288407 entitled Method of disposal of cyanobacteria in still waters and equipment for its implementation, whose originators are prof. Ing. Dusan Sebo, PhD., Dr. h. c. mult. prof. Ing. Miroslav Badida, PhD., Doc. Ing. Juraj Sebo, PhD. and Ing. Monika Fedorčáková, Ph.D. from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering TUKE.
Since 1999, the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic has been awarding the Ján Bahýľ Prize to Slovak originators and owners of patents, utility models and designs for their exceptional technical or design solutions in order to increase creativity in Slovakia.
The invention has also been patented in the United States, Canada and Japan.
The team of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering TUKE won the honorary award of the chairman of KSK for innovations of the research and production program for equipment and aids for the fight against coronavirus.
The award from the hands of the chairman of the region Rastislav Trnka was taken over by the dean of FME TUKE prof. Jozef Živčák. During the acceptance of the award, several main reasons for awarding the award were highlighted:
