Faculty of Mechanical Engineering cooperates with the Swiss company Sirius Aviation AG on the development of the Sirius JET hydrogen aircraft

We created a prototype hydrogen propulsion system for one of the engines powering the aircraft with the first demonstration at Payerne Airport in Switzerland The presentation was also attended by other project partners who will be involved not only in the design but also in the homologation of the aircraft BMW Leonardo EH Group ALD Solution We are happy to be part of an international team to which we contribute our knowledge in the field of hydrogen technology nbsp nbsp

Life Jubilee of President Rudolf Schuster

Yesterday under the auspices of the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil a ceremony was held at the National Theatre in Košice to present a decoration to former Slovak President Rudolf Schuster on the occasion of his th birthday The ceremonial plenum was composed of prominent personalities of the Slovak Republic including former presidents the current Head of State Zuzana Čaputová the Speaker of the Parliament representatives of the Government the City of Košice KSK religious dignitaries writers artists family and friends Among the invited guests were also the dean and the secretary of our faculty The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of TUKE wishes the President all the best for his jubilee and for the award itself nbsp

Visit of the Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Slovakia

The management of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of TUKE and the company ROŠERO P s r o received today a visit of the First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in the Slovak Republic Mr Kiyotaka Tanaka The subject of the visit was the interest in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of TUKE in terms of the structure of study programmes and scientific research activities especially in the field of hydrogen technologies At the same time it was agreed that the next visit of our faculty will be made by the Ambassador of Japan in Slovakia in March

Opening of the ESLA ergonomics laboratory at KBaKP

At the Department of Production Safety and Quality KBaKP we managed to renovate the ergonomic laboratory ESLA Together with our management and representatives from U S Steel and Magna and Mr Ing Rudolf Hrivík PhD who financially supported the reconstruction we inaugurated the laboratory and put it into operation The ESLA laboratory is equipped with various ergonomic and safety features and equipment which serve not only for research but above all are a tool for teaching and educating our students so that they are as thoroughly prepared as possible for work in practice We thank you for your support and hope that the laboratory will bear fruit nbsp

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of TUKE participated in the popular exhibition rally AUTO SHOW at Slovakiaring on in Orechova Potônia with the Škoda Fabia R evo special with the crew of Richard Gonda and Ing Miroslav Palko PhD They enjoyed the first day in the Škoda Fabia R but unfortunately technical problems did not allow them to start the race on Saturday We would like to thank our entire No Racing Team for their efforts and we are looking forward to the next events nbsp

The Mechanical Engineering Ball connected with the matriculation ceremony of the students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice was held on th November traditionally in the Social Pavilion in Košice More than students employees and invited guests had a great time thanks to the excellent speech humour and singing of Ondrej Kandrač the musical group Problem the performance of the participants of Czechoslovakia has talent from Studio POLE DIVA with their aerial acrobatics and the talented winners of the Košice Golden Treasure the singing duo Sony amp Lucy With the stroke of midnight came the long awaited rich and varied raffle The Engineers Ball turned out to be beyond expectations and satisfaction was evident among the organizers and visitors alike nbsp

Workshop Designing in the automotive industry

On the workshop Designing in the automotive industry was held at the SJf TUKE Lectures were given by experts from the ŠKODA Auto Mladá Boleslav Technology Centre Aufeer Design IDIADA and EDAG The lectures were about digitalization and smoothing of surfaces car pre development and design accompaniment aerodynamics calculations crash test simulations light development engine exhaust development and everything related to the development of a new car At the end the next edition of the Drive project was announced and an informal discussion between students and development staff took place The workshop was a success and we look forward to further cooperation and events with ŠKODA Auto nbsp
