On June 25, 2021, a traditional meeting of employees of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Košice Juniáles 2021 took place in UVZ Herľany. On this occasion, Dean of faculty Dr. h. c. mult. prof. Ing. Jozef Živčák, PhD., MPH awarded several awards to faculty staff. Among the awarded employees were also several ÚMPaDI employees.

The Platinum Medal, a medal of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering TUKE for the development of mechanical engineering and support in building the faculty, was taken over from the hands of Dean Dr.h.c. mult. prof. Ing. Jozef Mihok, PhD.

The award of doctoral students for research, development and production of protective equipment in the fight against COVID-19 was taken over by, among others, our doctoral student Ing. Jozef Trojan.
