We started this week in the spirit of the upcoming holidays. Together we started to make and decorate an unconventional 2D Christmas tree. As this is the first tree in our department in x years, we are very excited about it. It will beautify our department until the feast of the Three Kings.

On Thursday 30.11.2023 our students took part in an excursion to the factory of Continental Automotive Systems Slovakia s.r.o (https://www.continental.com/en/), which is dedicated to the development and production of braking systems for passenger cars. The students had the opportunity to go through all stages of their development, from design, through simulations to final testing and partly also production. The programme was really varied and interesting. We would like to thank Continental and its staff for the valuable practical knowledge and for the time they gave us. We look forward to further cooperation.

On Tuesday 28.11.2023 our department was visited by the R&D department of BSH company (https://www.bsh-group.com/), who prepared interesting lectures in the field of structural-acoustic calculations for Mechanical Engineering students. BSH Drives and pumps, s.r.o. is dedicated to the development and production of components for home appliances of Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau and Neff brands. It has a long-standing good relationship with our department, thanks to our graduates who work in the company. In addition to professional lectures, they offer our students thesis topics, diploma internships and, last but not least, excursions. We are already looking forward to next year's visit to their development centre in Košice and production plant in Michalovce (https://sk.linkedin.com/company/bsh-sk).
