On 20–21 October 2026, the Slovakia Ring in Orechová Potôň hosted a ceremonial meeting of the European Driving Schools Association (EFA – Europäische Fahrschul-Assoziation). The programme also featured an afternoon of sporting activities, presentations by automotive brands HYUNDAI, FORD, MG and OMODA JAECOO, and practical demonstrations of safe driving. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) was represented by Vice-Dean Prof. Tomáš Brestovič and Dean Prof. Jozef Živčák.
The MH2 hydrogen-powered supercar, developed by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at TUKE in cooperation with MatadorGroup, was one of the event’s promotional vehicles. Prof. Tomáš Brestovič introduced hydrogen technologies and the MH2 concept in an expert lecture. The faculty’s representatives also met with Prof. Lucia Kurilovská, State Secretary at the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic.
Participation provided an opportunity to present the faculty’s research and development results to an international professional audience and raise awareness of its work in hydrogen technologies. It also created opportunities to establish new contacts and discuss future cooperation and practical applications of these technologies.
